I have tons of memories of playing outside in the sun. Kickball at recess, walking home from school. I have memories of going to a Chess competition and playing with kids who were WAY out of my league. These kids read books on the stuff. It was just a hobby for me.
Thinking about the past like that makes me sad.
Not necessarily because I miss being a kid, but mainly because it feels like “movie clips” in my head and I have trouble remembering the whole occurance.
All through my life I’ve seemed to hang on to certain memories and other memories have been let go. It’s unfortunate that I didn’t get to pick and choose which ones I “kept”, and which ones I “deleted”-so to speak. I remember going on trips. Whether it was camping, amusement parks, class field trips with my friends. Gallavanting on the bus, getting yelled at for being rowdy.
All of that feels like a lifetime ago..
It is really important to make your life the best of its potential and also make great memories along the way. Because in an instant, time just flies on by!
I have always wanted to be a mother, as long as I could remember!
Every year I get these awesome, wonderful ideas to take the boys’ somewhere exciting and fun, and every year life gets in the way and it doesn’t happen!
My advice to you is don’t be like me and have life get in the way.
Although sometimes it is evitable.
If you don’t take the time to create new memories, by the time you realize there’s life out there to live, it might be too late!
So live like there’s no tomorrow, and don’t put off plans! Family is what matters, and making memories is important for your family! 🙂
