I am the member in my family that canNOT cook.
I mean, don’t get me wrong I try, but there is just something off about my timing, that everything I touch is either undercooked or overcooked.
I have cookbooks, advice from people, everything. But I just can’t seem to cook correctly.
I am hoping to change that!
I have been watching Hell’s Kitchen.
If you don’t know what that is, it is a cooking show (currently on Hulu) with Chef Gordon Ramsay. It is a competition with 20 wannabe chefs competing to win $250,000 and a job being an executive chef somewhere. It’s a very intense show. He screams and screams and screams!
One of the appetizers they make are his famous scallops…
But what are scallops?
I didn’t even know what a scallop was rather than be able to make and pass his quality test to serve people.
So, curious I looked up and found some different ways to make scallops.
Scallops are deliciously sweet and can be overcooked if you don’t pay attention. You have to cook them on high heat, long enough for a crust to form so the flesh breathes..but not to long on that heat because they’ll quickly become bland and rubbery.

I thought I would try my hand at making my own batch of scallops.
But what is the best way?

- Lemon Garlic Sauced, Pan Seared Scallops
- Garlic Basil Seared Scallops
- Honey Sriracha Scallops
- Creamy Tuscan Spaghetti with Jumbo Scallops
- Scallops with Citrus Ginger Sauce
I personally have not made any of these…YET, but google each one and you can find your own recipe to follow and tweak to make it your own!!
